19：1 亞哈將以利亞一切所行的和他用刀殺眾先知的事都告訴耶洗別。
And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done， and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.
19：2 耶洗別就差遣人去見以利亞，告訴他說，明日約在這時候，我若不使你的性命像那些人的性命一樣，愿神明重重地降罰與我。
Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah， saying， So let the gods do to me， and more also， if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.
19：3 以利亞見這光景就起來逃命，到了猶大的別是巴，將仆人留在那里，And when he saw that， he arose， and went for his life， and came to Beersheba， which belongeth to Judah， and left his servant there.
19：4 自己在曠野走了一日的路程，來到一棵羅騰樹下（羅騰，小樹名，松類。下同），就坐在那里求死，說，耶和華阿，吧了。求你取我的性命，因為我不勝于我的列祖。
But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness， and came and sat down under a juniper tree： and he requested for himself that he might die； and said， It is enough； now， O LORD， take away my life； for I am not better than my fathers.
19：5 他就躺在羅騰樹下，睡著了。有一個天使拍他，說，起來吃吧。
And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree， behold， then an angel touched him， and said unto him， Arise and eat.
19：6 他觀看，見頭旁有一瓶水與炭火燒的餅，他就吃了喝了，仍然躺下。
And he looked， and， behold， there was a cake baken on the coals， and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink， and laid him down again.
19：7 耶和華的使者第二次來拍他，說，起來吃吧。因為你當走的路甚遠。
And the angel of the LORD came again the second time， and touched him， and said， Arise and eat； because the journey is too great for thee.
19：8 他就起來吃了喝了，仗著這飲食的力，走了四十晝夜，到了神的山，就是何烈山。
And he arose， and did eat and drink， and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
19：9 他在那里進了一個洞，就住在洞中。耶和華的話臨到他說，以利亞阿，你在這里作什么。
And he came thither unto a cave， and lodged there； and， behold， the word of the LORD came to him， and he said unto him， What doest thou here， Elijah？
19：10 他說，我為耶和華萬軍之神大發熱心。因為以色列人背棄了你的約，毀壞了你的壇，用刀殺了你的先知，只剩下我一個人，他們還要尋索我的命。
And he said， I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts： for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant， thrown down thine altars， and slain thy prophets with the sword； and I， even I only， am left； and they seek my life， to take it away.
19：11 耶和華說，你出來站在山上，在我面前。那時耶和華從那里經過，在他面前有烈風大作，崩山碎石，耶和華卻不在風中。風后地震，耶和華卻不在其中。
And he said， Go forth， and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And， behold， the LORD passed by， and a great and strong wind rent the mountains， and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD； but the LORD was not in the wind： and after the wind an earthquake； but the LORD was not in the earthquake：
19：12 地震后有火，耶和華也不在火中。火后有微小的聲音。
And after the earthquake a fire； but the LORD was not in the fire： and after the fire a still small voice.
19：13 以利亞聽見，就用外衣蒙上臉，出來站在洞口。有聲音向他說，以利亞阿，你在這里作什么。
And it was so， when Elijah heard it， that he wrapped his face in his mantle， and went out， and stood in the entering in of the cave. And， behold， there came a voice unto him， and said， What doest thou here， Elijah？
19：14 他說，我為耶和華萬軍之神大發熱心。因為以色列人背棄了你的約，毀壞了你的壇，用刀殺了你的先知，只剩下我一個人，他們還要尋索我的命。
And he said， I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts： because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant， thrown down thine altars， and slain thy prophets with the sword； and I， even I only， am left； and they seek my life， to take it away.
19：15 耶和華對他說，你回去，從曠野往大馬士革去。到了那里，就要膏哈薛作亞蘭王，And the LORD said unto him， Go， return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus： and when thou comest， anoint Hazael to be king over Syria：
19：16 又膏寧示的孫子耶戶作以色列王，并膏亞伯米何拉人沙法的兒子以利沙作先知接續你。
And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel： and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.
19：17 將來躲避哈薛之刀的，必被耶戶所殺。躲避耶戶之刀的，必被以利沙所殺。
And it shall come to pass， that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay： and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.
19：18 但我在以色列人中為自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的，未曾與巴力親嘴的。
Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel， all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal， and every mouth which hath not kissed him.
19：19 于是，以利亞離開那里走了，遇見沙法的兒子以利沙耕地。在他前頭有十二對牛，自己趕著第十二對。以利亞到他那里去，將自己的外衣搭在他身上。
So he departed thence， and found Elisha the son of Shaphat， who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him， and he with the twelfth： and Elijah passed by him， and cast his mantle upon him.
19：20 以利沙就離開牛，跑到以利亞那里，說，求你容我先與父母親嘴，然后我便跟隨你。以利亞對他說，你回去吧，我向你作了什么呢。
And he left the oxen， and ran after Elijah， and said， Let me， I pray thee， kiss my father and my mother， and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him， Go back again： for what have I done to thee？
19：21 以利沙就離開他回去，宰了一對牛，用套牛的器具煮肉給民吃，隨后就起身跟隨以利亞，服事他。
And he returned back from him， and took a yoke of oxen， and slew them， and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen， and gave unto the people， and they did eat. Then he arose， and went after Elijah， and ministered unto him.
