16：1 參孫到了迦薩，在那里看見一個妓女，就與她親近。

　　Then went Samson to Gaza， and saw there an harlot， and went in unto her.

　　16：2 有人告訴迦薩人說，參孫到這里來了。他們就把他團團圍住，終夜在城門悄悄埋伏，說，等到天亮我們便殺他。

　　And it was told the Gazites， saying， Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in， and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city， and were quiet all the night， saying， In the morning， when it is day， we shall kill him.

　　16：3 參孫睡到半夜，起來，將城門的門扇，門框，門閂，一齊拆下來，扛在肩上，扛到希伯侖前的山頂上。

　　And Samson lay till midnight， and arose at midnight， and took the doors of the gate of the city， and the two posts， and went away with them， bar and all， and put them upon his shoulders， and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron.

　　16：4 后來參孫在梭烈谷喜愛一個婦人，名叫大利拉。

　　And it came to pass afterward， that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek， whose name was Delilah.

　　16：5 非利士人的首領上去見那婦人，對她說，求你誆哄參孫，探探他因何有這嗎大的力氣，我們用何法能勝他，捆綁克制他。我們就每人給你一千一百舍客勒銀子。

　　And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her， and said unto her， Entice him， and see wherein his great strength lieth， and by what means we may prevail against him， that we may bind him to afflict him： and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

　　16：6 大利拉對參孫說，求你告訴我，你因何有這嗎大的力氣，當用何法捆綁克制你。

　　And Delilah said to Samson， Tell me， I pray thee， wherein thy great strength lieth， and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.

　　16：7 參孫回答說，人若用七條未乾的青繩子捆綁我，我就軟弱像別人一樣。

　　And Samson said unto her， If they bind me with seven green withs that were never dried， then shall I be weak， and be as another man.

　　16：8 于是非利士人的首領拿了七條未乾的青繩子來，交給婦人，她就用繩子捆綁參孫。

　　Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withs which had not been dried， and she bound him with them.

　　16：9 有人預先埋伏在婦人的內室里。婦人說，參孫哪。非利士人拿你來了。參孫就掙斷繩子，如掙斷經火的麻線一般。這樣，他力氣的根由人還是不知道。

　　Now there were men lying in wait， abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him， The Philistines be upon thee， Samson. And he brake the withs， as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.

　　16：10 大利拉對參孫說，你欺哄我，向我說謊言。現在求你告訴我當用何法捆綁你。

　　And Delilah said unto Samson， Behold， thou hast mocked me， and told me lies： now tell me， I pray thee， wherewith thou mightest be bound.

　　16：11 參孫回答說，人若用沒有使過的新繩捆綁我，我就軟弱像別人一樣。

　　And he said unto her， If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied， then shall I be weak， and be as another man.

　　16：12 大利拉就用新繩捆綁他。對他說，參孫哪。非利士人拿你來了。有人預先埋伏在內室里。參孫將臂上的繩掙斷了，如掙斷一條線一樣。

　　Delilah therefore took new ropes， and bound him therewith， and said unto him， The Philistines be upon thee， Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.

　　16：13 大利拉對參孫說，你到如今還是欺哄我，向我說謊言。求你告訴我，當用何法捆綁你。參孫回答說，你若將我頭上的七條發綹，與緯線同織就可以了。

　　And Delilah said unto Samson， Hitherto thou hast mocked me， and told me lies： tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her， If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.

　　16：14 于是大利拉將他的發綹與緯線同織，用橛子釘住，對他說，參孫哪。非利士人拿你來了。參孫從睡中醒來，將機上的橛子和緯線一齊都拔出來了。

　　And she fastened it with the pin， and said unto him， The Philistines be upon thee， Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep， and went away with the pin of the beam， and with the web.

　　16：15 大利拉對參孫說，你既不與我同心，怎嗎說你愛我呢。你這三次欺哄我，沒有告訴我，你因何有這嗎大的力氣。

　　And she said unto him， How canst thou say， I love thee， when thine heart is not with me？ thou hast mocked me these three times， and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.

　　16：16 大利拉天天用話催逼他，甚至他心里煩悶要死。

　　And it came to pass， when she pressed him daily with her words， and urged him， so that his soul was vexed unto death；

　　16：17 參孫就把心中所藏的都告訴了她，對她說，向來人沒有用剃頭刀剃我的頭，因為我自出母胎就歸神作拿細耳人。若剃了我的頭發，我的力氣就離開我，我便軟弱像別人一樣。

　　That he told her all his heart， and said unto her， There hath not come a razor upon mine head； for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb： if I be shaven， then my strength will go from me， and I shall become weak， and be like any other man.

　　16：18 大利拉見他把心中所藏的都告訴了她，就打發人到非利士人的首領那里，對他們說，他已經把心中所藏的都告訴了我，請你們再上來一次。于是非利士人的首領手里拿著銀子，上到婦人那里。

　　And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart， she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines， saying， Come up this once， for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her， and brought money in their hand.

　　16：19 大利拉使參孫枕著她的膝睡覺，叫了一個人來剃除他頭上的七條發綹。于是大利拉克制他，他的力氣就離開他了。

　　And she made him sleep upon her knees； and she called for a man， and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head； and she began to afflict him， and his strength went from him.

　　16：20 大利拉說，參孫哪。非利士人拿你來了。參孫從睡中醒來，心里說，我要像前幾次出去活動身體。他卻不知道耶和華已經離開他了。

　　And she said， The Philistines be upon thee， Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep， and said， I will go out as at other times before， and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.

　　16：21 非利士人將他拿住，剜了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鏈拘索他。他就在監里推磨。

　　But the Philistines took him， and put out his eyes， and brought him down to Gaza， and bound him with fetters of brass； and he did grind in the prison house.

　　16：22 然而他的頭發被剃之后，又漸漸長起來了。

　　Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.

　　16：23 非利士人的首領聚集，要給他們的神大袞獻大祭，并且歡樂，因為他們說，我們的神將我們的仇敵參孫交在我們手中了。

　　Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god， and to rejoice： for they said， Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.

　　16：24 眾人看見參孫，就贊美他們的神說，我們的神將毀壞我們地，殺害我們許多人的仇敵交在我們手中了。

　　And when the people saw him， they praised their god： for they said， Our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy， and the destroyer of our country， which slew many of us.

　　16：25 他們正宴樂的時候，就說，叫參孫來，在我們面前戲耍戲耍。于是將參孫從監里提出來，他就在眾人面前戲耍。他們使他站在兩柱中間。

　　And it came to pass， when their hearts were merry， that they said， Call for Samson， that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house； and he made them sport： and they set him between the pillars.

　　16：26 參孫向拉他手的童子說，求你讓我摸著托房的柱子，我要靠一靠。

　　And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand， Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth， that I may lean upon them.

　　16：27 那時房內充滿男女，非利士人的眾首領也都在那里。房的平頂上約有三千男女，觀看參孫戲耍。

　　Now the house was full of men and women； and all the lords of the Philistines were there； and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women， that beheld while Samson made sport.

　　16：28 參孫求告耶和華說，主耶和華阿，求你眷念我。神阿，求你賜我這一次的力量，使我在非利士人身上報那剜我雙眼的仇。

　　And Samson called unto the LORD， and said， O Lord God， remember me， I pray thee， and strengthen me， I pray thee， only this once， O God， that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

　　16：29 參孫就抱住托房的那兩根柱子，左手抱一根，右手抱一根，And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood， and on which it was borne up， of the one with his right hand， and of the other with his left.

　　16：30 說，我情愿與非利士人同死。就盡力屈身，房子倒塌，壓住首領和房內的眾人。這樣，參孫死時所殺的人，比活著所殺的還多。

　　And Samson said， Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might； and the house fell upon the lords， and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

　　16：31 參孫的弟兄和他父的全家，都下去取他的尸首，抬上來葬在瑣拉和以實陶中間，在他父瑪挪亞的墳墓里。參孫作以色列的士師二十年。

　　Then his brethren and all the house of his father came down， and took him， and brought him up， and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.
