舊約 -- 箴言(Proverbs) -- 第3章
3：1 我兒，不要忘記我的法則。（或作指教）你心要謹(jǐn)守我的誡命。
My son， forget not my law； but let thine heart keep my commandments：
3：2 因為他必將長久的日子，生命的年數(shù)，與平安，加給你。
For length of days， and long life， and peace， shall they add to thee.
3：3 不可使慈愛誠實離開你。要系在你頸項上，刻在你心版上。
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee： bind them about thy neck； write them upon the table of thine heart：
3：4 這樣，你必在神和世人眼前蒙恩寵，有聰明。
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
3：5 你要專心仰賴耶和華，不可倚靠自己的聰明。
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart； and lean not unto thine own understanding.
3：6 在你一切所行的事上，都要認(rèn)定他，他必指引你的路。
In all thy ways acknowledge him， and he shall direct thy paths.
3：7 不要自以為有智慧。要敬畏耶和華，遠(yuǎn)離惡事。
Be not wise in thine own eyes： fear the LORD， and depart from evil.
3：8 這便醫(yī)治你的肚臍，滋潤你的百骨。
It shall be health to thy navel， and marrow to thy bones.
3：9 你要以財物，和一切初熟的土產(chǎn)，尊榮耶和華。
Honour the LORD with thy substance， and with the firstfruits of all thine increase：
3：10 這樣，你的倉房，必充滿有馀，你的酒榨，有新酒盈溢。
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty， and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
3：11 我兒，你不可輕看耶和華的管教，（或作懲治）也不可厭煩他的責(zé)備。
My son， despise not the chastening of the LORD； neither be weary of his correction：
3：12 因為耶和華所愛的，他必責(zé)備。正如父親責(zé)備所喜愛的兒子。
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth； even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
3：13 得智慧，得聰明的，這人便為有福。
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom， and the man that getteth understanding.
3：14 因為得智慧勝過得銀子，其利益強如精金。
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver， and the gain thereof than fine gold.
3：15 比珍珠（或作紅寶石）寶貴。你一切所喜愛的，都不足比較。
She is more precious than rubies： and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
3：16 他右手有長壽。左手有富貴。
Length of days is in her right hand； and in her left hand riches and honour.
3：17 他的道是安樂，他的路全是平安。
Her ways are ways of pleasantness， and all her paths are peace.
3：18 他與持守他的作生命樹。持定他的俱各有福。
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her： and happy is every one that retaineth her.
3：19 耶和華以智慧立地。以聰明定天。
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth； by understanding hath he established the heavens.
3：20 以知識使深淵裂開，使天空滴下甘露。
By his knowledge the depths are broken up， and the clouds drop down the dew.
3：21 我兒，要謹(jǐn)守真智慧和謀略。不可使他離開你的眼目。
My son， let not them depart from thine eyes： keep sound wisdom and discretion：
3：22 這樣，他必作你的生命，頸項的美飾。
So shall they be life unto thy soul， and grace to thy neck.
3：23 你就坦然行路，不至碰腳。
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely， and thy foot shall not stumble.
3：24 你躺下，必不懼怕。你躺臥，睡得香甜。
When thou liest down， thou shalt not be afraid： yea， thou shalt lie down， and thy sleep shall be sweet.
3：25 忽然來的驚恐，不要害怕。惡人遭毀滅，也不要恐懼。
Be not afraid of sudden fear， neither of the desolation of the wicked， when it cometh.
3：26 因為耶和華是你所倚靠的。他必保守你的腳不陷入網(wǎng)羅。
For the LORD shall be thy confidence， and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
3：27 你手若有行善的力量，不可推辭，就當(dāng)向那應(yīng)得的人施行。
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due， when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
3：28 你那里若有現(xiàn)成的，不可對鄰舍說，去吧，明天再來，我必給你。
Say not unto thy neighbour， Go， and come again， and to morrow I will give； when thou hast it by thee.
3：29 你的鄰舍，既在你附近安居，你不可設(shè)計害他。
Devise not evil against thy neighbour， seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
3：30 人未曾加害與你，不可無故與他相爭。
Strive not with a man without cause， if he have done thee no harm.
3：31 不可嫉妒強暴的人，也不可選擇他所行的路。
Envy thou not the oppressor， and choose none of his ways.
3：32 因為乖僻人為耶和華所憎惡。正直人為他所親密。
For the froward is abomination to the LORD： but his secret is with the righteous.
3：33 耶和華咒詛惡人的家庭，賜福與義人的居所。
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked： but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
3：34 他譏誚那好譏誚的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。
Surely he scorneth the scorners： but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
3：35 智慧人必承受尊榮。愚昧人高升也成為羞辱。
The wise shall inherit glory： but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
