舊約 -- 何西阿書(Hosea) -- 第8章
8：1 你用口吹角吧。敵人如鷹來攻打耶和華的家，因為這民違背我的約，干犯我的律法。
Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD， because they have transgressed my covenant， and trespassed against my law.
8：2 他們必呼叫我說，我的神阿，我們以色列認識你了。
Israel shall cry unto me， My God， we know thee.
8：3 以色列丟棄良善（或作福分），仇敵必追逼他。
Israel hath cast off the thing that is good： the enemy shall pursue him.
8：4 他們立君王，卻不由我，他們立首領，我卻不認。他們用金銀為自己制造偶像，以致被剪除。
They have set up kings， but not by me： they have made princes， and I knew it not： of their silver and their gold have they made them idols， that they may be cut off.
8：5 撒瑪利亞阿，耶和華已經丟棄你的牛犢。我的怒氣向拜牛犢的人發作。他們到幾時方能無罪呢。
Thy calf， O Samaria， hath cast thee off； mine anger is kindled against them： how long will it be ere they attain to innocency？
8：6 這牛犢出于以色列，是匠人所造的，并不是神。撒瑪利亞的牛犢必被打碎。
For from Israel was it also： the workman made it； therefore it is not God： but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
8：7 他們所種的是風，所收的是暴風，所種的不成禾稼，就是發苗也不結實。即便結實，外邦人必吞吃。
For they have sown the wind， and they shall reap the whirlwind： it hath no stalk： the bud shall yield no meal： if so be it yield， the strangers shall swallow it up.
8：8 以色列被吞吃，現今在列國中，好像人不喜悅的器皿。
Israel is swallowed up： now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
8：9 他們投奔亞述，如同獨行的野驢。以法蓮賄買朋黨。
For they are gone up to Assyria， a wild ass alone by himself： Ephraim hath hired lovers.
8：10 他們雖在列邦中賄買人，現在我卻要聚集懲罰他們。他們因君王和首領所加的重擔，日漸衰微。
Yea， though they have hired among the nations， now will I gather them， and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
8：11 以法蓮增添祭壇取罪，因此，祭壇使他犯罪。
Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin， altars shall be unto him to sin.
8：12 我為他寫了律法萬條，他卻以為與他毫無關涉。
I have written to him the great things of my law， but they were counted as a strange thing.
8：13 至于獻給我的祭物，他們自食其肉，耶和華卻不悅納他們。現在必記念他們的罪孽，追討他們的罪惡，他們必歸回埃及。
They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings， and eat it； but the LORD accepteth them not； now will he remember their iniquity， and visit their sins： they shall return to Egypt.
8：14 以色列忘記造他的主，建造宮殿。猶大多造堅固城，我卻要降火焚燒他的城邑，燒滅其中的宮殿。
For Israel hath forgotten his Maker， and buildeth temples； and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities： but I will send a fire upon his cities， and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
