NOTE:
A clergyman walking down a country lane and sees a young farmer struggling to load hay back onto a cart after it had fallen off.
"You look hot, my son," said the cleric. "why dont you rest a moment, and Ill give you a hand.""No thanks," said the young man."My father wouldnt like it."
"Dont be silly," the minister said."Everyone is entitled to a break. Come and have a drink of water."Again the young man protested that his father would be upset.
Losing his patience, the clergyman said, "Your father must be a real slave driver. Tell me where I can find him and Ill give him a piece of my mind!"
"Well," replied the young farmer, "he is under the load of hay."
譯文：
一牧師走在鄉村的小路上，看見一個年輕的農夫正在費力地將掉落的干草放回車上。
“你看起來很熱，我的孩子，”牧師說，“為什么你不歇一會，我會幫助你的。”“不，謝謝了。”年輕人說。“我的爸爸不會喜歡我這樣做的。”
“別傻了。”牧師說。“每一個人都有權利休息。來喝點水吧。”年輕人再一次堅持他爸爸會生氣地。
牧師沒了耐心，說：“你爸爸一定是個苛刻的監工。告訴我我怎樣才能找到他，我要給他上一課。”
“好吧。”年輕人回答說。“他在干草的下面。”
