It was at the end of the school year, and a kindergarten teacher was receiving gifts from her pupils. The florist's son handed her a gift. She shook it, held it overhead, and said, "I bet I know what it is. Some flowers." "That's right" the boy said, "but how did you know?" "Oh, just a wild guess（瞎猜）," she said.
The next pupil was the candy shop owner's daughter. The teacher held her gift overhead, shook it, and said, "I bet I can guess what it is. A box of sweets." "That's right, but how did you know?" asked the girl. "Oh, just a wild guess," said the teacher.
The next gift was from the son of the liquor store owner. The teacher held the package overhead, but it was leaking. She touched a drop of the leakage with her finger and touched it to her tongue. "Is it wine?" she asked. "No," the boy replied, with some excitement.
The teacher repeated the process, taking a larger drop of the leakage to her tongue. "Is it champagne?" she asked. "No," the boy replied, with more excitement. The teacher took one more taste before declaring, "I give up, what is it?" With great glee, the boy replied, "It's a puppy（小狗）!"
學年結束的時候，一個幼兒園老師收到小學員們送的各種禮物。花店老板的兒子把禮物遞給她。她把它晃了晃，舉到空中，說：“我敢打賭，我知道這是啥，是花。”“說對了，”男孩說，“可您怎么知道的呢？”“呵，只是瞎猜的。”老師說。
第二個學員是糖果店老板的女兒。老師把她的禮物抓起來，晃了晃，然后說：“我敢打賭，我能猜到這是啥，是一盒糖果。”“說對了，可您怎么知道的？”女孩問。“呵，也就瞎猜的。”老師說。
緊跟著是酒店老板的兒子送的禮物。老師把包裝盒舉起來，可它有點漏，她用手指蘸起一滴漏出的液體抹到舌頭上。“這是葡萄酒么？”她問。“不是。”男孩回答，有些興奮。
老師又來了一遍，蘸了更大的一滴送到舌頭上。“是香檳么？”她問。“不是。”男孩回答，更加興奮了。老師又嘗了一口，然后宣布：“我投降了，這是什么呀？”男孩特別高興地回答：“是只小狗狗！”
