Goethe was once strolling on a narrow path in a park in Weimar.
As luck would have it, he met with a critic who was hostile to him.
Both of them stopped, staring at each other.
Then the critic said, "I'll never make way for a fool."
"But I will," with that Goethe retreated aside.
歌德有次在魏瑪一座公園的小路上散步。
說巧不巧,他跟一位對(duì)他有敵意的評(píng)論家撞上了。
他倆都站住腳,互相打量著。
然后評(píng)論家說:“我從不會(huì)給傻子讓道。”
“可是我會(huì)給傻子讓路的。”歌德邊說邊閃到路旁。
