when dionides, a pirate, was brought before alexander the great, alexander said, "vile brigand! how dare you infest the seas with your misdeeds?"
"and you," replied the pirate, "by what right do you ravage the world? because i have only one ship, i am called a brigand, and you who have a whole fleet are termed a conqueror."
alexander commanded the man to be set at liberty.
海 盜 奧 尼 德 斯 被 帶 到 亞 歷 山 大 大 帝 面 前 。 亞 歷 山 大 說 ： 「 可 惡 的 強 盜 ， 你 怎 敢 為 患 海 上 ， 作 惡 多 端 ？ 」
奧 尼 德 斯 回 答 ： 「 你 呢 ， 有 什 么 權 利 為 患 世 界 ？ 我 只 有 一 艘 船 ， 所 以 叫 做 強 盜 ； 你 有 一 隊 船 ， 則 叫 做 征 服 者 。 」
