圣經(jīng)故事(15):The Temptation by Satan
Jesus was then led away by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil.
For forty days and nights he fasted, and at the end of them he was famished. The tempter approached him and said, ‘If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.'Jesus answered,'scripture says, “Man cannot live on bread alone； he lives on every word that God utters.”'
The devil then took him to the Holy City and set him on the parapet of the temple. ‘If you are the Son of God,' he said, 'throw yourself down； for Scripture says,“He will put his angels in charge of you, and they will support you in their arms, for fear you should strike your foot against a stone.”'Jesus answered him,'Scripture says again,“You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.”'
Once again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in their glory. ‘All these',he said,'I will give you, if you ,will only fall down and do me homage.' But Jesus said, 'Begone, Satan！ Scripture says, “You shall do homage to the Lord your God and worship him alone.”'
Then the devil left him；and angels appeared and waited on him.
撒旦試探
耶穌被圣靈引到曠野，接受魔鬼撒旦的試探。
他四十晝夜齋戒禁食，感到饑餓難耐。魔鬼走近他，說(shuō)道：“你若是圣子，就可叫這些石頭變成食物?！币d答道：“經(jīng)書上講‘人活著不是光靠食物，而是要靠上帝講的每句話。'”
魔鬼就把他帶到圣城，讓他站在圣殿頂上，說(shuō)：“你若是圣子，就跳下去，因?yàn)榻?jīng)書上講‘主會(huì)吩咐他的使者用手托著你，免得你的腳碰到石頭上。'”耶穌答道：“可經(jīng)書上還講'不可試探你的上帝天主。'”
魔鬼又把他帶上了一座高山，把世上所有繁榮昌盛的國(guó)家指給他看，并說(shuō)：“如果你肯向我拜服在地，我就把這一切全都賜給你。”但耶穌卻說(shuō)：“去吧，撒旦！經(jīng)書上講‘你要敬拜你的天主上帝，而且只是崇拜他。'”
于是魔鬼便離耶穌而去；而主的眾使者就出來(lái)侍候他。
