圣經(jīng)故事(16):The First Batch of Disciples
The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples when Jesus passed by. John looked towards him and said, ‘There is the Lamb of God. 'The two disciples heard him say this, and followed Jesus. When he turned and saw them following him, he asked, 'What are you looking for？'They said, 'Rabbi'（which means a teacher）, 'where are you staying？''Come and see', he replied. So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent the rest of the day with him. It was then about four in the afternoon.
One of the two who followed Jesus after hearing what John said was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. The first thing he did was to find his brother Simon. He said to him, ‘We have found the messiah'（which is the Hebrew for'Christ'）。 He brought Simon to Jesus, who looked at him and said, 'You are Simon son of John. You shall be called Cephas'（that is Peter, the Rock）。
The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. He met Philip, who, like Andrew and Peter, came from Bethsaida, and said to him, ‘Follow me. 'Philip went to find Nathanael, and told him, 'We have met the man spoken of by Moses in the Law, and by the prophets：it is Jesus son of Joseph, from Nazareth. ''Nazareth！'Nathanael exclaimed；'can anything good come from Nazareth？'Philip said, 'Come and see. 'When Jesus saw Nathanael coming, he said, 'Here is an Israelite worthy of the name；there is nothing false in him. 'Nathanael asked him, 'How do you come to know me ？'Jesus replied, 'I saw you under the fig-tree before Philip spoke to you. ''Rabbi, 'said Nathanael, 'you are the Son of God；you are king of Israel. 'Jesus answered, 'Is this the ground of your faith, that I told you I saw you under the fig-tree？You shall see greater things than that. 'then he added, 'In truth, in very truth I tell you all, you shall see heaven wide open, and God's angels ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. '
初收門徒
次日，約翰和他兩個(gè)門徒又站在那里，這時(shí)耶穌從旁經(jīng)過。約翰看著他說道：“這就是上帝的羔羊。”兩個(gè)門徒聽了，便跟著耶穌走。耶穌轉(zhuǎn)身看到他們跟著他，便問道：“你們要做什么？”他們答道：“拉比（猶太人用語：老師），你住在哪兒？”耶穌回答說：“你們跟來看看吧。”他們便跟著他去看他的住處，當(dāng)天便住在了那里，此時(shí)已是午后近晚時(shí)分。
聽約翰的話跟從耶穌的這兩人中，一個(gè)名叫安得烈，是西門?彼得的弟弟。他先去找到了他哥哥西門，對(duì)他說：“我們找到彌賽亞（希伯來語，意為”基督“）了。”他便領(lǐng)西門去見基督。耶穌看見西門就說：“你是約翰的兒子西門，你以后叫璣法（磐石之意）。”
第二天，耶穌決定去加利利。他遇到了腓力，對(duì)他說：“跟隨我吧。”這腓力和安得烈、彼得都來自伯賽大。腓力去找到拿但業(yè)，說：“我們遇到了摩西律法上寫的、眾先知提到的那個(gè)人了，他就是約瑟的兒子拿撒勒人耶穌。”拿但業(yè)喊道：“拿撒勒！拿撒勒還會(huì)出什么好事么？”腓力說：“那你來看看吧！”耶穌看到拿但業(yè)走來，就說：“這是一個(gè)真正的以色列人，他心胸坦誠，毫無虛詐。”拿但業(yè)問耶穌：“你怎么會(huì)知道我呢？”耶穌答道：“腓力還未跟你說話，我就看到你在無花果樹下了。”拿但業(yè)說：“拉比，你真是神的兒子，是以色列人之王。”耶穌答道：“我說看到你在無花果樹下，你就已經(jīng)信服我了？你還會(huì)看到比這更大的奇事呢。”接著，耶穌又說：“我實(shí)實(shí)在在地告訴你們，你們將要看到天門大開，上帝的使者從天而降，落在人子的身上。”
