舊約 -- 耶利米書(Jeremiah) -- 第10章
10：1 以色列家阿，要聽耶和華對你們所說的話。
Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you， O house of Israel：
10：2 耶和華如此說，你們不要效法列國的行為，也不要為天象驚惶，因列國為此事驚惶。
Thus saith the LORD， Learn not the way of the heathen， and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven； for the heathen are dismayed at them.
10：3 眾民的風俗是虛空的。他們在樹林中用斧子砍伐一棵樹，匠人用手工造成偶像。
For the customs of the people are vain： for one cutteth a tree out of the forest， the work of the hands of the workman， with the axe.
10：4 他們用金銀妝飾它，用釘子和錘子釘穩，使它不動搖。
They deck it with silver and with gold； they fasten it with nails and with hammers， that it move not.
10：5 它好像棕樹，是鏇成的，不能說話，不能行走，必須有人抬著。你們不要怕它。它不能降禍，也無力降福。
They are upright as the palm tree， but speak not： they must needs be borne， because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them； for they cannot do evil， neither also is it in them to do good.
10：6 耶和華阿，沒有能比你的。你本為大，有大能大力的名。
Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee， O LORD； thou art great， and thy name is great in might.
10：7 萬國的王阿，誰不敬畏你。敬畏你本是合宜的。因為在列國的智慧人中，雖有政權的尊榮，也不能比你。
Who would not fear thee， O King of nations？ for to thee doth it appertain： forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations， and in all their kingdoms， there is none like unto thee.
10：8 他們盡都是畜類，是愚昧的。偶像的訓誨算什么呢。偶像不過是木頭。
But they are altogether brutish and foolish： the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
10：9 有銀子打成片，是從他施帶來的，并有從烏法來的金子，都是匠人和銀匠的手工，又有藍色紫色料的衣服，都是巧匠的工作。
Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish， and gold from Uphaz， the work of the workman， and of the hands of the founder： blue and purple is their clothing： they are all the work of cunning men.
10：10 惟耶和華是真神，是活神，是永遠的王。他一發怒，大地震動。他一惱恨，列國都擔當不起。
But the LORD is the true God， he is the living God， and an everlasting king： at his wrath the earth shall tremble， and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
10：11 你們要對他們如此說，不是那創造天地的神，必從地上從天下被除滅。
Thus shall ye say unto them， The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth， even they shall perish from the earth， and from under these heavens.
10：12 耶和華用能力創造大地，用智慧建立世界，用聰明鋪張穹蒼。
He hath made the earth by his power， he hath established the world by his wisdom， and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
10：13 他一發聲，空中便有多水激動。他使云霧從地極上騰。他造電隨雨而閃，從他府庫中帶出風來。
When he uttereth his voice， there is a multitude of waters in the heavens， and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth； he maketh lightnings with rain， and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
10：14 各人都成了畜類，毫無知識。各銀匠都因他雕刻的偶像羞愧。他所鑄的偶像本是虛假的，其中并無氣息，Every man is brutish in his knowledge： every founder is confounded by the graven image： for his molten image is falsehood， and there is no breath in them.
10：15 都是虛無的，是迷惑人的工作。到追討的時候必被除滅。
They are vanity， and the work of errors： in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
10：16 雅各的分不像這些，因他是造作萬有的主。以色列也是他產業的支派，萬軍之耶和華是他的名。
The portion of Jacob is not like them： for he is the former of all things； and Israel is the rod of his inheritance： The LORD of hosts is his name.
10：17 受圍困的人哪，當收拾你的財物，從國中帶出去。
Gather up thy wares out of the land， O inhabitant of the fortress.
10：18 因為耶和華如此說，這時候，我必將此地的居民，好像用機弦甩出去，又必加害在他們身上，使他們覺悟。
For thus saith the LORD， Behold， I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once， and will distress them， that they may find it so.
10：19 民說，禍哉。我受損傷。我的傷痕極其重大。我卻說，這真是我的痛苦，必須忍受。
Woe is me for my hurt！ my wound is grievous： but I said， Truly this is a grief， and I must bear it.
10：20 我的帳棚毀壞。我的繩索折斷。我的兒女離我出去，沒有了。無人再支搭我的帳棚，掛起我的幔子。
My tabernacle is spoiled， and all my cords are broken： my children are gone forth of me， and they are not： there is none to stretch forth my tent any more， and to set up my curtains.
10：21 因為牧人都成為畜類，沒有求問耶和華，所以不得順利。他們的羊群也都分散。
For the pastors are become brutish， and have not sought the LORD： therefore they shall not prosper， and all their flocks shall be scattered.
10：22 有風聲。看哪，敵人來了。有大擾亂從北方出來，要使猶大城邑變為荒涼，成為野狗的住處。
Behold， the noise of the bruit is come， and a great commotion out of the north country， to make the cities of Judah desolate， and a den of dragons.
10：23 耶和華阿，我曉得人的道路不由自己，行路的人也不能定自己的腳步。
O LORD， I know that the way of man is not in himself： it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
10：24 耶和華阿，求你從寬懲治我，不要在你的怒中懲治我，恐怕使我歸于無有。
O LORD， correct me， but with judgment； not in thine anger， lest thou bring me to nothing.
10：25 愿你將忿怒傾在不認識你的列國中，和不求告你名的各族上。因為他們吞了雅各，不但吞了，而且滅絕，把他的住處變為荒場。
Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not， and upon the families that call not on thy name： for they have eaten up Jacob， and devoured him， and consumed him， and have made his habitation desolate.
