5：1 耶穌站在革尼撒勒湖邊，眾人擁擠他，要聽神的道。

　　And it came to pass， that， as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God， he stood by the lake of Gennesaret，

　　5：2 他見有兩只船灣在湖邊。打魚的人卻離開船，洗網去了。

　　And saw two ships standing by the lake： but the fishermen were gone out of them， and were washing their nets.

　　5：3 有一只船，是西門的，耶穌就上去，請他把船撐開，稍微離岸，就坐下，從船上教訓眾人。

　　And he entered into one of the ships， which was Simon's， and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down， and taught the people out of the ship.

　　5：4 講完了，對西門說，把船開到水深之處，下網打魚。

　　Now when he had left speaking， he said unto Simon， Launch out into the deep， and let down your nets for a draught.

　　5：5 西門說，夫子，我們整夜勞力，并沒有打著什么。但依從你的話，我就下網。

　　And Simon answering said unto him， Master， we have toiled all the night， and have taken nothing： nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

　　5：6 他們下了網，就圈住許多魚，網險些裂開。

　　And when they had this done， they inclosed a great multitude of fishes： and their net brake.

　　5：7 便招呼那只船上的同伴來幫助。他們就來把魚裝滿了兩只船，甚至船要沉下去。

　　And they beckoned unto their partners， which were in the other ship， that they should come and help them. And they came， and filled both the ships， so that they began to sink.

　　5：8 西門彼得看見，就俯伏在耶穌膝前，說，主阿，離開我，我是個罪人。

　　When Simon Peter saw it， he fell down at Jesus' knees， saying， Depart from me； for I am a sinful man， O Lord.

　　5：9 他和一切同在的人，都驚訝這一網所打的魚。

　　For he was astonished， and all that were with him， at the draught of the fishes which they had taken：

　　5：10 他的夥伴西庇太的兒子，雅各，約翰，也是這樣。耶穌對西門說，不要怕，從今以后，你要得人了。

　　And so was also James， and John， the sons of Zebedee， which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon， Fear not； from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

　　5：11 他們把兩只船攏了岸，就撇下所有的跟從了耶穌。

　　And when they had brought their ships to land， they forsook all， and followed him.

　　5：12 有一回耶穌在一個城里，有人滿身長了大麻瘋，看見他就俯伏在地，求他說，主若肯，必能叫我潔凈了。

　　And it came to pass， when he was in a certain city， behold a man full of leprosy： who seeing Jesus fell on his face， and besought him， saying， Lord， if thou wilt， thou canst make me clean.

　　5：13 耶穌伸手摸他說，我肯，你潔凈了吧。大麻瘋立刻就離了他的身。

　　And he put forth his hand， and touched him， saying， I will： be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

　　5：14 耶穌囑咐他，你切不可告訴人。只要去把身體給祭司察看，又要為你得了潔凈，照摩西所吩咐的，獻上禮物對眾人作證據。

　　And he charged him to tell no man： but go， and shew thyself to the priest， and offer for thy cleansing， according as Moses commanded， for a testimony unto them.

　　5：15 但耶穌的名聲越發傳揚出去。有極多的人聚集來聽道，也指望醫治他們的病。

　　But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him： and great multitudes came together to hear， and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

　　5：16 耶穌卻退到曠野去禱告。

　　And he withdrew himself into the wilderness， and prayed.

　　5：17 有一天耶穌教訓人，有法利賽人和教法師在旁邊坐著，他們是從加利利各鄉村和猶太并耶路撒冷來的。主的能力與耶穌同在，使他能醫治病人。

　　And it came to pass on a certain day， as he was teaching， that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by， which were come out of every town of Galilee， and Judaea， and Jerusalem： and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

　　5：18 有人用褥子抬著一個癱子，要抬進去放在耶穌面前，And， behold， men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy： and they sought means to bring him in， and to lay him before him.

　　5：19 卻因人多，尋不出法子抬進去，就上了房頂，從瓦間把他連褥子縋到當中，正在耶穌面前。

　　And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude， they went upon the housetop， and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

　　5：20 耶穌見他們的信心，就對癱子說，你的罪赦了。

　　And when he saw their faith， he said unto him， Man， thy sins are forgiven thee.

　　5：21 文士和法利賽人就議論說，這說僭妄話的是誰。除了神以外，誰能赦罪呢。

　　And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason， saying， Who is this which speaketh blasphemies？ Who can forgive sins， but God alone？

　　5：22 耶穌知道他們所議論的，就說，你們心里議論的是什么呢。

　　But when Jesus perceived their thoughts， he answering said unto them， What reason ye in your hearts？

　　5：23 或說，你的罪赦了，或說，你起來行走，那一樣容易呢。

　　Whether is easier， to say， Thy sins be forgiven thee； or to say， Rise up and walk？

　　5：24 但要叫你們知道人子在地上有赦罪的權柄，就對癱子說，我吩咐你起來，拿你的褥子回家去吧。

　　But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins， （he said unto the sick of the palsy，） I say unto thee， Arise， and take up thy couch， and go into thine house.

　　5：25 那人當眾人面前，立刻起來，拿著他躺臥的褥子回家去，歸榮耀與神。

　　And immediately he rose up before them， and took up that whereon he lay， and departed to his own house， glorifying God.

　　5：26 眾人都驚奇，也歸榮耀與神，并滿心懼怕，說，我們今日看見非常的事了。

　　And they were all amazed， and they glorified God， and were filled with fear， saying， We have seen strange things to day.

　　5：27 這事以后，耶穌出去，看見一個稅吏，名叫利未，坐在稅關上，就對他說，你跟從我來。

　　And after these things he went forth， and saw a publican， named Levi， sitting at the receipt of custom： and he said unto him， Follow me.

　　5：28 他就撇下所有的，起來，跟從了耶穌。

　　And he left all， rose up， and followed him.

　　5：29 利未在自己家里，為耶穌大擺筵席。有許多稅吏和別人，與他們一同坐席。

　　And Levi made him a great feast in his own house： and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

　　5：30 法利賽人和文士，就向耶穌的門徒發怨言，說，你們為什么和稅吏，并罪人，一同吃喝呢。

　　But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples， saying， Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners？

　　5：31 耶穌對他們說，無病的人用不著醫生。有病的人才用得著。

　　And Jesus answering said unto them， They that are whole need not a physician； but they that are sick.

　　5：32 我來本不是召義人悔改。乃是召罪人悔改。

　　I came not to call the righteous， but sinners to repentance.

　　5：33 他們說，約翰的門徒屢次禁食祈禱，法利賽人的門徒也是這樣。惟獨你的門徒又吃又喝。

　　And they said unto him， Why do the disciples of John fast often， and make prayers， and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees； but thine eat and drink？

　　5：34 耶穌對他們說，新郎和陪伴之人同在的時候，豈能叫陪伴之人禁食呢。

　　And he said unto them， Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast， while the bridegroom is with them？

　　5：35 但日子將到，新郎要離開他們，那日他們就要禁食了。

　　But the days will come， when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them， and then shall they fast in those days.

　　5：36 耶穌又設一個比喻，對他們說，沒有人把新衣服撕下一塊來，補在舊衣服上。若是這樣，就把新的撕破了，并且所撕下來的那塊新的，和舊的也不相稱。

　　And he spake also a parable unto them； No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old； if otherwise， then both the new maketh a rent， and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.

　　5：37 也沒有人把新酒裝在舊皮袋里。若是這樣，新酒必將皮袋裂開，酒便漏出來，皮袋也就壞了。

　　And no man putteth new wine into old bottles； else the new wine will burst the bottles， and be spilled， and the bottles shall perish.

　　5：38 但新酒必須裝在新皮袋里。

　　But new wine must be put into new bottles； and both are preserved.

　　5：39 沒有人喝了陳酒又想喝新的，他總說陳的好。

　　No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new： for he saith， The old is better.
