While proudly showing off new apartment to his friends, a
college student led the way into the den. "What is the big
brass gong and the hammer for?" one of his friends asked.
"That is the talking clock," the man replied. "How's it
work?"
"Watch,"the man said proceeded to give the gong an ear-
shattering pound with the hammer. Suddenly, someone screamed
from the other side of the wall, "Knock it off（停下來）, you
idiot! It's two o'clock in the morning!"

“那個大銅鑼和錘子是干嗎用的？”有個朋友問。
“那是會說話的鐘。”這人回答。
“怎么用呢？”
“瞧好了。”這人說著，拿起錘子上前就給銅鑼一串震耳欲聾的敲打
。
突然，隔壁有人大喊：“別敲了，你個蠢貨！都凌晨兩點了！”
