“Say, that’s an interesting pair of socks you’ve got on, Charlie, one green and one red.”
“嘿，查理，你穿的這雙襪子真有趣，一只綠色一只紅色。”
“Yeah, and I’ve got another pair just like it at home.”
“是嗎，我家里還有一雙同樣的襪子呢。”
英語知識點解說：
1.pair n. 一雙
a pair of... 一雙…
例：What a lovely pair of legs you've got!
（你的雙腿真美！）
2.socks n. 男用短襪
stockings n. 女用長襪
因為一雙襪子都由兩只組成，所以必須使用復數，而褲子也由兩只褲管構成，用法亦同，如 trousers、pants（褲子），slacks （寬松褲子、運 動褲 ）等。
例：How can you wear woolen socks in this heat?
（你怎么能夠在這么大熱天還穿著羊毛襪呢？）
Those black net stockings of hers drive me completely bananas.
（她那雙黑色網點褲襪讓我為之瘋狂。）
*此處 bananas 視為形容詞，等于 crazy。
