The world’s cheapest man finally went to the dentist to have his teeth fixed.
一個非常吝嗇的守財奴終于去牙科看牙齒。
“Well, sir,” said the dentist, “I’m afraid you’ve waited too long to get these teeth attended to. They’ll all have to come out.”
“先生，”牙醫說道“，恐怕你拖得太久了，這些牙齒都要拔掉才行。”
“How much will that cost?” inquired the skinflint.
“那得花多少錢？”小氣鬼問醫生。
“A thousand dollars.”
“一千塊美金。”
“Here’s a hundred,” said the tightwad. “Just loosen them up a bit.”
“這里是一百塊，”吝嗇鬼說“。只要稍微把它們松動一點就好了！”
英語知識點解說：
1.cheap a. 便宜的（東西 ）；吝嗇的（人 ，等于 stingy）
stingy a. 小氣的
miser n. 一毛不拔的人，吝嗇鬼
例：He's so cheap he's been using the same razor blade for three years.
（他是那么的吝嗇，因此他使用那片刮胡刀片已經三年了。）

2.fix vt. 修理；使穩固；專注
fix one's mind on sth 專注于某事
fix one's eyes on sb/sth 凝視某人／某物

5.get 或 have) sth + p.p. 把某物、某事（被）處理
例：You ought to have your head examined.
（你應該去檢查一下你的腦袋。）

6.skinflint n. 吝嗇鬼
=miser
7.tightwad n. 守財奴
=miser
8.loosen vt. & vi. 松開；解開
例：Why don't you loosen your tie? Relax and have a drink.
