Down on the farm, Mom told Dad to fix the outhouse. Dad took a look at the shitter and returned to Mom.
某一農場上，老媽要老爸去修理茅房。老爸只瞧了茅房一眼就回來了。
“There ain’t nothin’ wrong with that shithouse, Mom.”
“那個茅房什么問題也沒有啊，孩子的娘。”
Mom took Dad back to the outhouse and stuck his head down in the hole.
老媽將老爸帶回茅房，把他的頭塞進茅坑當中。
“Hey,” said Dad, “my beard is stuck!”
“嘿！”老爸說道“，我的胡子粘住了！”
“Aggravatin’, ain’t it?”
“問題嚴重了，是不是呢？”
英語知識點解說：
1.fix vt. 修理；固定
fix a machine 修理機器
=repair a machine
fix one's eyes on... 目不轉睛地盯著……看
例：What's the matter with Tom? He's had his eyes fixed on the ceiling for the last twenty minutes.
（湯姆到底是怎么一回事？他眼睛一直盯著天花板，足足有廿分鐘之久。）
2.outhouse 茅（=shitter）
3.beard n. 胡須
4.stick vt. 刺；戳；困住；使進退兩難
三態為：stick, stuck, stuck。
get stuck 卡住；動彈不得
例：The window got stuck. （窗戶卡住了。）
西方人有的喜歡留一大把胡子，又多又長，所以會卡在茅坑里。
本文中連媽媽上廁所也有問題（可不是胡子問題），可見茅坑一定
是太滿了，需要請水肥公司來處理了。
5.aggravating a. 惡化的
aggravate vt. 使惡化；煩擾
例：If you don't quit aggravating me, I'm going to squash you like a bug.
（如果你再繼續煩我的話，我將把你像蟲一樣壓得扁扁的。）
6.Aggravatin' ain't it?
正確說法應為 It's aggravating, isn't it?（情況不斷在惡化，是不是？）
