boudicca vowed vengeance and raised a huge army. she fell on colchester, london and st albans, and burned them to the ground. between 70000 and 80000 roman soldiers and civilians were killed in the three cities destroyed, and the noblest women were impaled on spikes and had their breasts cut off and sewn to their mouths.
