140：1 （大衛(wèi)的詩，交與伶長）耶和華阿，求你拯救我脫離兇惡的人，保護我脫離強暴的人。
Deliver me， O LORD， from the evil man： preserve me from the violent man；
140：2 他們心中圖謀奸惡，常常聚集要爭戰(zhàn)。
Which imagine mischiefs in their heart； continually are they gathered together for war.
140：3 他們使舌頭尖利如蛇，嘴里有虺蛇的毒氣。（細拉）
They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent； adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
140：4 耶和華阿，求你拯救我脫離惡人的手，保護我脫離強暴的人。他們圖謀推我跌倒。
Keep me， O LORD， from the hands of the wicked； preserve me from the violent man； who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
140：5 驕傲人為我暗設網(wǎng)羅和繩索。他們在路旁鋪下網(wǎng)，設下圈套。（細拉）
The proud have hid a snare for me， and cords； they have spread a net by the wayside； they have set gins for me. Selah.
140：6 我曾對耶和華說，你是我的神。耶和華阿，求你留心聽我懇求的聲音。
I said unto the LORD， Thou art my God： hear the voice of my supplications， O LORD.
140：7 主耶和華，我救恩的力量阿，在爭戰(zhàn)的日子，你遮蔽了我的頭。
O GOD the Lord， the strength of my salvation， thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
140：8 耶和華阿，求你不要遂惡人的心愿。不要成就他們的計謀，恐怕他們自高。（細拉）
Grant not， O LORD， the desires of the wicked： further not his wicked device； lest they exalt themselves. Selah.
140：9 至于那些昂首圍困我的人，愿他們嘴唇的奸惡陷害（原文是遮蔽）自己。
As for the head of those that compass me about， let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
140：10 愿火炭落在他們身上。愿他們被丟在火中，拋在深坑里，不能再起來。
Let burning coals fall upon them： let them be cast into the fire； into deep pits， that they rise not up again.
140：11 說惡言的人，在地上必堅立不住。禍患必獵取強暴的人，將他打倒。
Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth： evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
140：12 我知道耶和華必為困苦人伸冤，必為窮乏人辨屈。
I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted， and the right of the poor.
140：13 義人必要稱贊你的名。正直人必住在你面前。
Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name： the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
