日本人的娛樂
In their invasion of China, the Japanese often diverted themselves with torturing and killing the Chinese. Women who refused to have sex with Japanese soldiers sometimes had their breasts cut off, or were burned with cigarettes and tortured with electric shocks. And women in labour sometimes had their legs bound so that they and their children died in horrible pain.One former Japanese soldier told the New York Times his first orders after arriving in China in 1940 were to execute eight or nine Chinese prisoners. The killing was regarded as a final test in the education of novice soldiers.The brutality continued right until the end of World War II. In February 1945, Japanese soldiers stationed in Shansi showed their courage by stabbing to death a large number of Chinese peasants after tying them to stakes.
日本侵略中國期間，常以折磨、殺戮中國人為樂。拒絕給日本士兵薦枕的女郎，有時被割去乳房，或被香煙灼身體以及電擊。正在分娩的女人，有時會被綁起雙腿，務求她們和孩子一起死在劇痛之中。一個前日本士兵告訴《紐約時報》說，一九四○年初到中國，首先接到的命令，是殺死八、九個被俘的中國人。這算是新兵教育的期終試。日本人的暴行，到第二次世界大戰結束才停止。一九四五年二月，駐守山西的日本士兵把大批中國農民先綁在木柱上，再用刀刺殺，以顯示他們的勇氣。
