后街男孩
后街男孩的團(tuán)名“Backstreet”原是奧蘭多市的一個(gè)著名跳蚤市場(chǎng)（Backstreet Market）的名字，“Backstreet”這個(gè)詞的直譯是“后街”。在大陸地區(qū)對(duì)他們的譯名是“后街男孩”，在臺(tái)灣地區(qū)則是“新好男孩”。

1993年，來(lái)自Florida州的初中生HowieD,A.J.,Nick和來(lái)自Kentucty州Lexington市的表兄弟Kevin , Brain (高中生)在一間錄音室相遇。他們之前均有過(guò)表演經(jīng)驗(yàn),其中Nick曾演過(guò)肥皂劇。大家一見(jiàn)如故,遂進(jìn)行了長(zhǎng)談,結(jié)果他決定組建一個(gè)樂(lè)隊(duì)--Backstreet Boys。他們開(kāi)始錄制單曲,但推出后在美國(guó)本土銷量不佳。在這段樂(lè)隊(duì)歷史上最困難的時(shí)期他們互相安慰,互相鼓勵(lì).他們開(kāi)始往英國(guó)發(fā)展（因?yàn)橛?guó)當(dāng)時(shí)是偶像樂(lè)隊(duì)的發(fā)源地，許多偶像樂(lè)隊(duì)都產(chǎn)生在那里）。

　　有一天，這三個(gè)人湊在一起準(zhǔn)備替一個(gè)新案子試音時(shí)，突然發(fā)現(xiàn)他們氣味相投，于是一拍即合；加上離開(kāi)家鄉(xiāng)出來(lái)打天下的Kevin、Brian，五個(gè)滿懷理想的少年組成一個(gè)以優(yōu)美合音見(jiàn)長(zhǎng)的樂(lè)團(tuán)，并以?shī)W蘭多最出名的地標(biāo)為名，“后街男孩”于是誕生！首支單曲“We've go it goin' on”是由Ace of Base的制作人Denniz Pop操刀制作，這首舞曲展現(xiàn)了男孩們活力四射的青春氣息，在歐陸方面成績(jī)不俗，在奧地利、瑞士、荷蘭、法國(guó)等均有打入十名內(nèi)的嘉績(jī)。接下來(lái)的“I'll never break your heart”是首抒情曲，成功地為他們打開(kāi)了歐洲的知名度。成績(jī)最好的一首單曲則是“Get Down(You are the one for me)”，在國(guó)內(nèi)也由杜德偉翻唱為“發(fā)燒”一曲，其驚人的魅力由此可見(jiàn)一斑。這五個(gè)能歌善舞的后街男孩，帶著陽(yáng)光般的笑容，征服全球。首張專輯已獲得了四白金，更在舞曲王國(guó)的德國(guó)、瑞士蟬聯(lián)冠軍。

A.J.Mc Lean: “When I was aboutsix, I started in the acting career, doing theatre and commercials and extrawork and stuff like that and they turned around to my favor, and about two anda half years ago we got this group together, and I got to use a gift that Godgave me and now I’ve been using it ever since.”

          NickCarter: “Hi I’m Nick and I’m the youngest member of the group. I’m fifteen. I’moriginally from Jamestown, New York. It’s just upstate it’s not like the bigpart, the big city. Then I moved to Tampa, Florida which right now where Iresign.”  Others: “Resign? Resign? Retirein Tampa? Reside?” 

          Nick Carter: “Reside, yeah that’s it. Ohman, I always mess up. I’m sorry.” Howard Dorough: “The first time I remember really wanting to start andsing is when I was around six years old. And I think the very first print Iever did was the Wizard of Oz. I was actually one of the lollipop little guys.So ever since then I realized from that point on I wanted to do like a singingand acting career.” 

          Richardson: Music’s always been a bigpart of our family. We started in church just singing hymns. I always loved tosing them. It’s just something that came easily.

          Brian Littrell : I would have to say I wasaround three or four when I just started like singing along with things thentaking it seriously probably about five or six. I was standing up in front ofaudiences at churches and singing in front of three thousand people and be likethis tall or so. It was a lot of fun. It was just a gift and I enjoyed it. Werecorded our first single. We’ve Got It Going on actually in Stockholm, Sweden.That was an experience for us. It was written for us by Dennis Pop who wroteand produced for Ace of Base. He wrote “The Sign” and “All That She Wants”. Sohe’s had some pretty like success wise like universal success, I guess youcould say because Ace of Base is pretty big in the States as well as Europe.That was an experience for us because it was kind of like we didn’t have theopportunity for him to come to us, so we had to go to him and it turned out tobe you know “We’ve got it going on” and it has our name in it –“Jam on because BackStreet’s got it.”
